Self-documenting code is a BS brought forward by lazy developers who never worked or cared about anybody else. It's a convinent lie people tell themselves to explain thier bad habits. That's all.

On the other hand, it is possible to go to far and over-comment. Both extremes are bad and there is no question about that.

It's a great interview topic as it exposes a lot about a candidate 😏
