I always found async functions a bit "funny". It's nice to see that I'm not the only one. At the same time, callback hell kept somewhere between. My latest architecture ended up being a mix of both and I reached a stage where I feel "that's not right, I should decide on one approach" and I'm more keen on Promises due to better and more maintainable model and error handling.
